Wow- November flew by accompanied with traditions, soccer championships and visiting with friends. We truly have so much to be thankful for and am truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. It's about creating memories filled with joy and laughter; a great way to live life.
We spent Thanksgiving this year up at Ma/Pa cabin in Tahoe (aka: Janet/Van). The cabin was filled with Gram, us, and the Farrells. Crazy as it may have seemed at times, it was a good sort of craziness. Mat and Tom took the kids on a hike on Thanksgiving to Cathedral Lake (about halfway to Mt. Tallac) while the women stayed back to cook the Thanksgiving meal. Although I would like to say we slaved away all day, we actually ended up reading, talking, and taking naps. It was a relaxing day spent with inspirational women. The next day, we hiked the Vikings Holm trail to work off all the pies and turkey we devoured. I think all of the other tourist had the same intent b/c it was crowded!
Gram (Bettie) also celebrated her 84th birthday! She is an amazing women! She is truly an inspiration of unconditional love, giving, patience, kindness, strength and dedication. She shared stories of the Great Depression and World War 2 (Grayson was particularly intrigued with her stories). We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her as we don't do enough.
Our love goes out to all of you this holiday season!
