Come Sail Away

Our family was invited by some friends of ours to go sailing! It sounded amazing. I pictured myself sailing the bay, sipping wine, and relaxing. I had NO IDEA what I was in for. Apparently, we chose to go out on a very windy day. We got out there and all was well UNTIL the sail went up! To my surprise, I found us completely tilted to one side (I think it's called tacking). Anicka is crying, I'm doing the nervous laugh (but really I'm thinking Holy Crap, if we fall into the water, it's really cold), Grayson was having a ball, Mat had been sailing before, so it's not phasing him. Here we are in the middle of the Bay and my cheeks were puckered the whole time. Our captain Kevin, decided to take us over and around to Angel Island where it was much calmer b/c he sensed the nervousness. Once we got around, he put the sail down. Grayson is steering the sailboat around Angel Island. I have decided I'm not much of a sailor, but I'd do it again if there are NO swells and it's REALLY WARM! I still have to thank the Clarks though for taking us out.
