After settling back from our euphoric trip to Europe, we of course got right back into the reality of life (weekend soccer games, piano and guitar lessons, homework, cooking etc..)
I had shoulder surgery Oct 6th to repair my rotator cuff. There was some bone shaving, tendon repair, and inflamed tissue that was removed. I have to admit, the road to recovery has been much slower and longer than anticipated. The simple tasks of household chores, putting make-up, and doing hair are now much more appreciated than before, well maybe not the chores. I'm hanging in there and taking time off to heal. Thanks to my mom and Aunt Kate, they helped out for a few days with food, cleaning and keeping me company. Also, a big thanks to Anita who has also been a lifesaver with taking me grocery shopping and making me lunch and helping with chores. Love you guys!
Mat is coaching CYO basketball and started practice last week while overlapping with soccer. Anicka's soccer team is thus far undefeated, so they will be in the championships. Grayson's team didn't make the championships, but they played hard.
Also, Mat is a traveling man these days living the life of a businessman. Lots of changes going on with his job. The President (Mat's boss) resigned last Thursday with an email to the company and no going away shin-dig. It was shocking and abrupt, since he was one of the founders of Mountain Hardwear.
Much love to all of you!
xoxo
