Nyon, Switzerland to Yvoire, France- DAY 1

Day 1 was an absolute whirlwind for me. I arrived in Geneva 8am and took a taxi to the hotel where Mat was staying. To my surprise, Mat got the day off b/c it was a holiday (and they take their holidays seriously). So, Shawna Wilson came down and picked us up and took us to Nyon. From Nyon, we took a ferry over to Yvoire, France (a mideival village on the water) and spent the day there. It was a very romantic village, plus I was on cloud 9 being all the way in France with no kiddos around. After our day in Yvoire, we had to take the train from Nyon back to Geneva and then walk about 4 miles back to the hotel. In the 24 hours I was there, I was on a plane, car, boat, train, and foot. Needless to say, I was exhausted when we got back.
